You know that cleaning the house is one of those tasks you need to complete every week (or every day if you’re a parent like me), but I’ll be honest it’s not always fun. It can be hard to find the motivation to clean every single day when you are busy and have so many other things going on.
So this is why I am here to give you some insanely great cleaning hacks for keeping your house clean and organized so you can enjoy your home as much as possible AND still have time for yourself, your family, and friends.

1. Use a Toothbrush and Vinegar to Remove Dirt from the Keyboard
The crumbs that fall between the keys of a laptop or keyboard can be impossible to remove. Luckily, there is a cheap and effective method to remove this dirt in just a minute. Simply fill a small dish with white vinegar, then dip your toothbrush into it and clean the dirt away.
Countless materials can also be used to clean your keyboard, but none of them compares to the inexpensive effectiveness of white vinegar.
The keyboard is one of the dirtiest and neglected parts of our computers. But with a toothbrush and vinegar, you can easily clean the dirt and make your keyboard sparkle again.
2. Disinfect Your Sponges in the Microwave
According to Healthline, using a microwave to disinfect your sponges is an easy way to reduce the chance of sickness by killing off bacteria and viruses. The best part about this recipe is that you can do it in any kitchen without having to purchase any fancy equipment for a week’s worth of healthy disinfected sponges.
3. Remove Steel Stains Using Lemon and Salt
Removing steel water stains from your bathtub is easier than you think. All you need is lemon juice and salt.
Wait for the water to cool, add the juice of a lemon, and fill a spray bottle with water.
Spray the tub with the mixture, wait 10 minutes, get your scrubbing brush, and scrub away with your favorite scrubber.
4. Use Steam to Clean Your Microwave
Clean up in your microwave by using steam. To create a bowl of steam, fill a cup with water and press it up against the ceiling of the microwave. Then close the door.
Next, microwave some water for five minutes. When you open the microwave door, the steam will loosen any gunk that may be inside of it and make clean-up a breeze.

Rub a generous amount of baking soda over any spill or stain and then wipe generously with a wet sponge.
6. Use Vinegar to Disinfect Your Coffee Maker

Try adding a cup of white vinegar and run through the brew cycle. The vinegar will not only deep clean your coffee maker but also act as a disinfectant to kill any bacteria. The vinegar smell will disappear after running through the brew cycle.
*If the strong vinegar smell doesn’t go away fast enough try running some warm water through the brewing cycle. Also, try to do this at night that way in the morning you ensure your coffee doesn’t smell like vinegar.
7. Dryer Sheet to Clean your Pans
We all have dirty pans, but you can make them look super shiny and new with simple products that you usually have around the house.
According to Today.com, one of these secrets is using dryer sheets to give your pots a quick shine. You can use a used dryer sheet or buy one just for cleaning strong dirt and grime.
All you do is pour water into the container (If that’s what you’re cleaning) place a dryer sheet on top of the water inside the container. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes then remove the dryer sheet and pour out the water.
Then proceed to clean the container with dish soap, as usual. The conditioner from the dryer sheet will help loosen the grime from the container.
8. Use Baking Soda to Un-Scratch your Plates
The benefits of baking soda are endless—clean clothes, garages, carpets, tiles, and so much more. Baking soda works to exfoliate your skin even!
Baking soda cleans soap scum off of shower doors. Use baking soda to un-scratch your plates with this super easy and effective method!
Just pour the baking soda on the plate and leave it on for about 5 to 10 minutes and then wipe with a scrubber to remove any scratches.
9. Use Lemons to Freshen Up Your Garbage Disposal
Lemons are a great cleaner for the disposal and deep kitchen sink. It will freshen up the ugly garbage disposal and leave it smelling good. Just cut up some lemons and leave them in your trash can for a few hours and watch the odor neutralize.

26. Using Vinegar to Remove Odor in Your Car
If you get a cup of white vinegar and leave it in a cup in your car overnight, it’ll remove any strong odors you might have in there.
27. Using Baking Soda to Remove Odors From Mattress
You can mix some baking soda and pour 15-30 drops of your essential oil (I prefer peppermint or lavender) sprinkle it on your mattress leave on for at least an hour (I like to leave it on for 3 hours).
Then vacuum the mixture and it’ll help remove strong odors from the mattress.
