This blog post is going to cover how many different streams of income bloggers have. How to get paid as a blogger even if you aren’t generating as much traffic. This article is going to talk about how the blogging game is much different than any other means of making income online.
I have written this article to talk to you about how possibly starting a blog is the right step for you. There are tons of ways to make a living online if you want to find out how bloggers make money keep reading just find out how.
This blog post is all about how much do bloggers make!
The answer to how much do bloggers make really does vary from blogger to blogger. There is NO one single amount every single blogger makes.
Every blogger has a different niche and different readers. So telling you a single amount would be bogus because it just doesn’t exist. However, that’s a good thing.
When you first start off your blog Google your niche whatever you’re writing about and see the potential that’s there. Once you’re able to narrow down on your niche you can then find out ways to make money around that. These are the ways bloggers make money.
1. Advertisements
Placing ads on your website can be an amazing way to make passive money on your blog. However, it is the hardest way to make money for new bloggers. The reason why it is hard to make money from advertisements on your blog as a new blogger because you need to generate consistent traffic to your blog.
As a new website, you need to generate steady traffic for ad companies to want to advertise on your blog. There are different ad companies out there with require different amounts of sessions (people on your blog) per month.
The Google Adsense requirements can work with you if you’re working with a lower amount of sessions per month.
However, the con to working with Google Adsense is that their pay per ad is much much less as if you were working with an ad agency like Mediavine.
Mediavine is an ad agency that works with a lot of bloggers in different niches. Mediavine requires you to have 50,000 sessions a month for you to submit an application to work with them.
They are known to pay really well from $1,000 up to $7,000 every single month (depending on your traffic). That income is amazing considering the fact that it’s all passive income.
If you can get people to interact with your ads you can make even more. It truly is worth your while if you can get into a solid ad agency like Mediavine.

2. Selling Products & Services
Selling products is another way that bloggers make money. Once bloggers create a steady amount of readers then they start to create products of their own. Which in my opinion is a great way to diversify your income.
You can use your website to drive traffic to potential buyers which in turn can generate a great added income.
Some bloggers create Amazon FBA stores and start selling physical products all related to their niche of course. I know of some bloggers who have done this and send traffic to their Shopify stores as well and just honestly create a whole brand off their blog.
This is why having a blog is such a powerful tool in today’s society.
Other bloggers go on doing coaching and land clients doing coaching calls to help others grow their own blogs. Some bloggers make for smaller bloggers to try and increase their traffic.
Creating ebooks is another powerful way that bloggers create added income. Even some go on to create courses. A lot of bloggers create these tools because that is what people are searching for.
People want to know from others that are currently successful in doing what they want to do. That way they can avoid making mistakes and try to reach their goal faster.
Famous bloggers with these strategies alone can create anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 every single month.
3. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is when a blogger recommends a product or service from another brand to their audience. Typically the brand will give the blogger a specific link for the blogger to then give to their audience for them to sign up or buy the product using their unique code.
Sometimes the brand will give the blogger a discount code for the blogger to use for their audience that way their more likely to buy the product or service.
Affiliate marketing is a great way for bloggers to make money even if you’re not getting tons of traffic to your site. These days brands rely heavily on influencers, bloggers, etc to review products and services for the brand to get sales.
With affiliate marketing, the possibilities are endless when it comes to making money. I know some bloggers to make even $10,000 every single month with affiliates alone.
Amazon affiliates is a great resource for bloggers because it is easy to sign up. However, currently, the commission is very minimal compared to other affiliate sites. If you are looking to make a significant amount of money my suggestion to you would be to sign up for multiple affiliates that way you can start making money right away. By enticing your audience to buy different products.
Just remember when you recommend a product or a service make sure to recommend good things, things you actually use on a daily basis, or know someone who has used them. You can even do your research on the product to see if it is indeed a good product because if you don’t you will start to lose credibility with your audience.
In my opinion, it’s important to develop a trusting relationship with your audience because they rely on you to give good information. If you recommend a crap product or service then it will have a negative impact on your blog and overall brand.
You don’t want to come off as money-hungry recommending things that aren’t of good quality. Then you may start to lose your audience as a result of recommending bad services/products. It’s not worth it in my opinion. So moral of the story, recommend good products.

4. Monetization Aside from Your Blog
When you start off a blog and you start getting a steady amount of traffic you might want to diversify aside from your blog. Meaning, you might want to brand out to other social media outlets. Maybe starting a Youtube channel based on your blog, you can start an Instagram, you can even start a tik-tok. All these things are amazing ways for you to branch out and really establish a brand.
Once you get steady traffic on these sites you can then get monetized on these platforms. I know of some bloggers who started off with a website and have branched out to these other sites and monetized these sites and make anywhere from $500 to $20,000 every single month!
I believe if you want to grow your blog to be a full-on business it’s important to establish a social media following on these other sites. It is NOT required though, I also know of plenty of bloggers to make a full-time income off their blog alone with the ways I mentioned above.
5. Sponsorships
Brands sometimes might reach out to you as a blogger to write an article all about a specific product or service. Sometimes they might offer you a flat rate to start and may offer you a commission per sale that you bring them.
It’s kind of similar to affiliate marketing however with sponsored posts you have to dedicate most if not all of that one post to that brand to try and convince your audience to sign up for their service.
Affiliate marketing on the other hand you can slip in a link in the post and recommend other things from other brands in one post.
Just make sure when you take on a sponsor, that it makes sense to your audience. For example, if you have a blog about traveling, don’t take on a sponsor to talk about dog food. Unless you have a travel blog about traveling with your dog, it wouldn’t make sense otherwise.
You have an audience for a reason and they expect you to be authentic to what it is your blog has to offer. They come to your blog to for information about whatever your niche is.
When your readers come to your blog they’ll know what they are going to get aka stuff in regards to travel NOT random things about dog food.
In this article, you have learned all about how much do bloggers make. The possibilities are absolutely endless, There are so many ways you can make a living off of blogging. There is no exact amount of how much do bloggers make per post. Bloggers truly make anywhere from $1,000 to $100,000 some might even make more every single year.
Every blog is different with a different niche to appeal to different people. I strongly believe it’s such an amazing way to earn part-time even full-time income. It is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme though. Building a blog takes time and tons of patience. Remember that when you start your blog and see no traffic after months and months of work.
The best advice that was given to me is, your blog will give you how much time you are willing to put into it. If you treat your blog like a hobby then it will pay you like a hobby. If you are serious about starting a blog and want this to become your full-time income, then please treat it as a full-time job. This is a little golden nugget you can apply to any part of your life.
As always thank you so much for reading this article, I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. Have an amazing day!
